Under the Awning

Ed Vidler has had only one job in his life—working at Vidler's, the now-historic family 5&10 cents store in East Aurora.  His book, Under the Awning [a reference to the notable Vidler awning], captures  the nature and spirit of East Aurora in a series of short stories that give us an inside glimpse of the history of the rare treasure that Vidler's is.
Though once one of many five-and-dime stores, Vidler's is now a destination on tours giving insight to very special Americana history.  The book is, of course, available at Vidler's.

You can find anything at Vidler's—
Frames - Yarn - Crafts - House wares - Cards - Gifts -Toys - Yard Goods - Candles and Tin Ware - Even one or more of the Vidlers working beside dedicated staff to maintain the quality for which they are famous—such as Beverly and Ed Vidler here.
